Edward Borein (California, 1872-1945) California, Overland Route, Horseman Ink on paper 10 3/4" x 8 3/4" A thrilling horseback chase by the noteworthy Western illustrator Ed Borein. Inscribed "to my friend Mortise / Edward Borein" in a circular cartouche, and titled in the bottom right corner. Framed behind glass, the black frame measuring 11 3/4" x 9 1/4".
Good condition. Some foxing to the sheet, and thumbprints/ stray lines by the artist's hand. Flattened crease at the bottom left corner.
