A tall weighted Dhokra elephant statue with gold-patinated finish. It depicts a central figure astride a great elephant, accompanied by a driver and guards, each holding a flat surface on which small candles might be placed. Eastern India, circa 20th century.
Measures 28" x 10" x 9".
Aged and worn patina. One guard is missing his sword hand, and the canopy is missing several ornamental drops.
