A pair of sculptural "Lily" end tables, cast aluminum with gilt patina and thick glass tops, manufactured by Drexel circa 1969-1970 for their
Et Cetera line of home furnishings (not by Arthur Court, as is frequently misattributed). Each bears a Drexel tag to the underside. The vintage design is a playfully literal take on the Shakespearean idiom "gilding the lily."
Each measures 17" x 19".
Condition
Overall good condition. Scattered wear to the patina. One of the glass tops has minor chipping and scratches.
