A stunning pair of large flower clip earrings by David Webb. These earrings have highly detailed flower petals in 18k yellow gold, around a rounded platinum center divided in three sections, each covered in diamond pave'. Raising thru the center opening are small gold stamen detailing. Each earring has 43 diamonds with approximately 4.2 total carat weight on the pair.
David Webb (1925-1975) started his jewelry company in 1948 and designed jewelry until his death in 1975 winning the prestigious Coty award in 1964. His list of clientele includes the First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, and Beyonce. His company is still producing jewelry from his archive of nearly 40,000 drawings and designs, while many of his pieces can be found in several major art museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
