Coleridge Smith (Missouri, 20th c.)
Two drawings, circa late 1940s
1.
Untitled (African tribal scene), graphite on paper, signed and dated 1948 to the bottom right, in a glazed frame that measures 23 1/2" x 19 1/2".
2.
Self-Portrait, charcoal on paper, framed behind plexiglass along with some personal ephemera, 20" x 26".
Condition
The African tribal drawing has a flaked loss and crease to the top right corner, and some mat burn evident toward the edges. The self portrait is in very good, original condition, noting that the sheet has some smudging inherent to the piece.
