A Qing export sewing box, circa mid-19th century, extensively decorated in fine gilt detail. Removable upper tray and lower drawer, each compartmented. Includes a variety of carved needlework implements original to the box.
Measures 5 1/2" x 14" x 9 1/2".

Condition
The gilt decoration on the hinged top has lost some definition and detail. Some of the lacquer has flaked, with minor losses to the decoration as photographed. Interior compartment elements are incomplete. No key present.
