A seminal Charlesworth image, used as the cover of Private Enemy - Public Eye: The Work of Bruce Charlesworth (1989, Aperture Publishing). Presented behind plexiglass in a black frame that measures 26 3/4" x 26 1/2".
Of the Trouble series, Charlesworth explained, "With this series of photographs, I let go of the linear narrative of the previous photo-novellas. The connection between images comes from their visual style and situational equivalency, and from the near-constant character in the black suit. Although the scenes were carefully staged and in some cases built to be seen from particular vantage points, many of the poses were improvisational."
Provenance: From the corporate art collection of a Kansas City based Fortune 500 company.
Very good condition, noting some chips to the frame. Not removed from the frame.
