A Louis XIV style lyre clock, made in France and imported to the United States circa 1920s. Gilt bronze and brass case and decoration including swags, oak leaves and acorns, and a Sun King sunburst crest, further embellished with porcelain flowers. Key wound 13 jewel movement, marked "F. Pelissier / France / 26395." The case is stamped "France / Ovington / New York / Chicago." Hand-enameled face, marble plinth, and frosted glass case door.
Measures 18 1/2" x 9" x 6".
Condition
The clock is untested and presently has no winding key. Two total chipped porcelain flower petals. Mild wear.
