Angela Cummings drew inspiration from the elaborate wood inlaying art of intarsia when designing these onyx inlayed earrings. Designed as large 18k ovals there are several free form onyx pieces inlaid. The patterning is reminiscent of jaguar spots.
This particular design of earrings are one of Angela Cummings' greatest designs and was produced both for Tiffany & Co as well as her own brand.
Angela Cummings started working as a designer with Tiffany & Co. in 1968 and formed her own business in 1984 selling her pieces at a boutique inside of Bergdorf Goodman.
