A Federal period convex bullseye mirror surmounted by a gilt eagle with wings outstretched, American, early 19th century. Two spiraling girandole candle holders draped with decorative strings of glass beads. Ebonized sight edge, surrounded by barley twist molding, and acanthus leaf embellishments.
Measures approximately 46 x 33 x 11 inches.
Condition
There are several repaired cracks and small breaks around the frame, mostly on the applied embellishments. New screws used to attach the girandoles (no new screw holes though).
