Pub. Cadell & Davies (London)
A single quarto-size volume. Calf spine with gilt rules and lettering, marbled boards. Complete with errata sheet, frontispiece portrait, and three fold-out engraved maps, the last of which is hand-colored. The accounts of famed explorer Alexander MacKenzie, after whom the MacKenzie River is named, specifically detailing his journeys from 1789-1793.
Measures 11" x 9" x 1 3/4".
Condition
Good condition. The cover/spine is worn and scuffed, but remains very handsome, with a little bit of staining to the marbled boards where a previous leather spine and corners were removed and replaced. There is some toning and staining to the sheets, as well as general rippling. Transfer from engraved frontispiece and maps to the sheets opposite, as is typical. The first and last fold-out maps each have a tear.
